Haiti Scholarship

I have been working on a project. My congregation, Britton Rd., works with a organization in Haiti that sponsors 48 orphans and education sponsorship for about 750 children who continue to live with their families.

Last year one of the orphans, Musset, graduated high school (and the program) and did so well on his national exams that he was able to attend a university in Haiti for an engineering degree. Unfortunately, in the earthquake the university collapsed. He was very blessed to be standing outside when the earthquake happened and so he survived.

I was so sad that he was not going to be able to finish his degree. We heard a local university was creating a scholarship fund for a Haitian student. A bright idea was planted. OC, engineering, Musset. We kicked it around for a few days and I finally approached Oklahoma Christian University about Musset. They have agreed to grant a tuition scholarship and in addition they have created a Haiti Scholarship Fund.

If you would be interested in helping Musset and future Haitian students, please let me know. I will be happy to send you the information needed to help. We are aiming to raise $50,000.00.

All donations will be tax deductible and gift receipts will be given.
